Feb 3, 2017 I just had my second listen.... It's definitely gonna be something that sounds better after a few listens. Can tell that already. I think as much as anything else it's a little unfamiliar. Em has never rapped over a beat like this in his entire career. The flows kinda new too so It all sounds a little different sonically to what we've come to expect. There's none of the 'off-beat (not my words... and I DONT agree as it goes but this is what people said) choppy flows like on shady xv but It's not a simplistic flow neither. I think em knew exactly what he was doing with this. I picked up on a couple lines. It kinda sounds like he was aware people were gonna hate whatever and he's basically saying 'f--- you' by deliberately putting a few lines in to piss those people off. Right before the urinate on fergie line, says something to the extend of 'what I'm sayings cringe-worthy.... BUT i'm urinating on fergie'. I don't think that's reaching. He seems very self aware about it. He loves to piss people off, So picks something he knows pisses people off, and says it anyway!
