To be real. After hearing Conway in this interview it makes me wonder if he has actually ever listened to an Em album? He doesn’t seem to know anything or give a s--- with anything Em related.
yeah i just listened to this for the first time, why does he rap like this? lol. There's pockets where he sounds good like the beginning of that 'compare me' part but then he just starts cramming s--- in for no reason.
it’s crazy cause i LIKE the lyrics but the voice is sooo bad. i ACTUALLY heard a line in there where he crammed like two too many words and i’m like ..what?
the flow, it’s sloppy. i mean, even when given the most rudimentary, textbook old school beat, he’s tryna just hop in and out of flows as if he has any idea what he’s doing
Well, not sure how clear I can explain it but I'll try. For example Drake's music is for everybody to consume, he has a bumping trap beat everybody would love and he doesn't really create something new at all. It's for the easy and fast consume, I doubt anybody plays a 10 year old Drake track today nor they will ever in the future. But Eminem has more of a unique sound, think of the best of classical music, people play it for hundreds of years. Eminem can actually create that type of music. People still listen to his 17 year old songs like Lose Yourself, Till I Collapse. And about his new style of changing the beat and the flow is actually pretty good. Sure not everybody gon like the genius of it, it's not gonna be the most popular thing but 1 verse of b--- equals like 2-3 different songs of freshness with all the beat and flow changes. I think specially the beat change works for songs like this in the long run. I can see the first beat is too dark and awesome but the more you listen to the song it's gonna come as boring to hear a rap over the same beat for 4 mins. On the other hand, Em really gave smh in the verse, with the beat changes and stuff, the song will definitely sound fresh for longer period of time. That was kinda like the Kamikaze's magic, too. It gives a whole new feel... I'd explain this a lot better in my main language but whatever...
he's just spitting hours of acapella verses and a production team inserts them into songs with bs strings and horns involved to try to make it fit and sound dramatic
Thought it started off bad but then it quickly turned kind of enjoyable.... until then the beat change happened and he went completely off the rails. It's like he cannot rap normal for an entire verse anymore. Oh well. Will not listen to again.
