Feb 24, 2020Hip-Hop was already a different experience in the 2000’s, so this argument is irrelevant. Unless you’re saying the black American experience in the 2000’s was all guns and being a gangster, music propagated by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Tell me, which black artist in the late 90’s-early 2000’s in Hip-Hop was as popular as Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg? Not even OutKast was on their level...and they were the few not rapping about being a criminal or g--- banging.
Face facts bruh, you don’t have to be black to do Hip-Hop. And just because a black artist makes a Hip-Hop album that’s about the “black American experience” does not make it any better...
MMLP is a social commentary disguised as a Rap album. It will be cherished for years to come. TPAB is a weak attempt at appearing intellectual, with distasteful 2Pac interviews thrown in there. Pitiful album by Kendrick.

They were sucking each other off the whole interview. FOH. Sway's Kamikaze interview was better than that.n9ne, Guma, The Mandalorian and 1 other person like this. -

Also out of all people in Slaughterhouse he kept those two in his circle instead of Budden who actually would have positive effect on his output.n9ne, The Mandalorian, Xmipod and 1 other person like this. -

I enjoyed the interview tbh. It felt a lot more comfortable that past Em interviews and you can really tell Em is just a nerd for MCing.Tal, stzenit94, modli and 1 other person like this. -

That’s cool if he doesn’t want to talk about them, but my point is the interviewer would have still asked, if he denies to answer move on. We were never gonna get questions like that with Crooked. In an interview, it shouldn’t be the subject leading the conversation, it should be the interviewer. Plus, the question I posed had little to do with his daughter and her life, but more so just how she has affected his music. It’s a question about him not her. Asking if his daughter is dating is way out of bounds to ask lmao, and had nothing to do with him so why would he want to talk about thatMudkip, Guma, Jb27 and 1 other person like this. -

I’m not saying him doing things like this aren’t cool and entertaining, I just wish he would do more outside his comfort zone as far as interviews. Along with doing stuff like thisLast edited: Feb 21, 2020Guma, froboy6942, Buddha and 1 other person like this. - Mar 9, 2026

Buddy, I enjoy MTBMB. I also loved Kamikaze. MMLP2 is one of my favorite Eminem albums. I fully understand the complexity of the bars.
Dude, there are many rappers who use the exact same lyrical techniques that Em and Crook spent 45 minutes complimenting themselves for. The difference is they use these techniques as tools for their style, and Em and Crook view these techniques as their style. Eminem’s best music is not centered around being technical, the technicality is always a side piece. The likes of Kendrick Lupe 3K Nas Cole and so many others are able to do this. Difference is they don’t surround themselves with people who act like it is the be all end all of being a great rapper, like Em does. If you don’t see this as a disturbing problem, then more power to you.KenzoSir, Guma and The Mandalorian like this. -

dude y'all taking this way to serious. Just enjoy his music and stop ripping anything he does to shreds smfh. He was all about "rapping competitiverly" on Kamikaze and MTBMB. And when his next album drops and it doesn't hit you, just dont listen and go back to his older stuff. He has givin you so much, just stop hating man.Snake12345, KenzoSir and modli like this. -

That part was funny because it was almost like he was talking about stuff that gets said on this forum. Theres definitely people on here that will trash one bar/one line and say the song is trash because of it.
