Feb 21, 2020Loved it. Em having genuine conversations about hip hop and giving props to the OGs of the game was a delight to watch. You could tell he was truly enjoying the discussion. However, I would say this though, it felt more like friends having a discussion about rap culture than an interview, which I don't mind tbh.

Why does he feel the need to cater to all of his fans at once on a single album, which in result detracts from the album by making it less cohesive?
Why does he feel a certain way about MGK talking about his daughter when Eminem is the king of disrespecting women?
Why does he think all of the artists he signs to shady end up falling apart and flopping?
Why did he force he poppish tendencies on slaughterhouse?
Why does he hold on to feelings about his father abandoning him as a kid when he is nearly 50 years old?
Does he feel like he’s ran out of things to say?
how does he feel when rappers from Detroit don’t respect him or feel like he did enough for the city’s music scene?
Like, idk why you guys are so against the idea of him going into an interview that does not have a biased host lmao. All we’re gonna get from this is the status quo and we won’t learn anything new.
we’re in a time where artists like Drake sit down and do a 2 hour interview touching up touchy subjects with rap radar. Big Sean just did a two hour interview with Budden touching a lot of ground. So many examples, and the only time Eminem pops out to talk about anything is in some controlled environment and it’s bs.Last edited: Feb 20, 2020 -

Jimi Hendrix is a guest is rock ? Tiger a guest in golf? Black athletes a guest in basketball (created by a white Canadian) Blacks a guest in football invented by white men? Blacks a guest in soccer ? invented by an Italian, Blacks a guest in hockey ? created by a white man.
No only racists think like that, Only racists think in color boundaries. -

It is not that you're wrong but that no one gives a f--- lol. I care about good music and not who makes it, like most others. So this constant bs about race makes me cringe hard. If anything, Em has actually played a huge role in globalising hip hop and making it as popular as it is today, black rappers benefited from it as well. I'd prefer almost the entirety of Em's discography over TPAB, so who gives a f--- if he can make an album like that or not (coming from a Kendrick fan).
And no, I'm not a white cause I know people would be quick to assume lol -

I absolutely did not say that. I even said it is a miracle Kamikaze and MTBMB came to be - implying that they are good albums. My problem is Eminem is making good music in spite of the people around him - which can quickly turn into terrible music because of the people around him.
@Guma Excellent observation. This is very telling. Not to be morbid, but Eminem lost a lot more than just a friend when he lost Proof. He may have lost the only objective ear around him who would care enough to get under his skin and tell him when something he’s doing is whack.Last edited: Feb 23, 2020n9ne, Guma, The Mandalorian and 4 others like this. -

I’m far from a hater man believe me. I’m just being objective. Eminem still makes great music, but the people surrounding him are a far cry from Proof and the Bass Brothers. It’s clear he does not have an objective ear in the room, and I don’t care how genius you are, it is bad news for any creator.n9ne, The Mandalorian, Xmipod and 4 others like this. -

Jesus. This “”””interview”””” should be terrifying for any Eminem fan. Everything that we dislike about his work from over the last 7 years was talked up as though it were positives. I had to stop the interview when Em defended the “booty is heavy duty like diarrhea” line and Crook just sat there and nodded like that s--- made sense.Marshall does NOT have the right people around him, from a musical perspective. They do not encourage him to make good music, they encourage him to rap competitively with as many syllables as he can, at as quick a pace as he can, with as little meaning as possible. Crook and Royce are enablers, nothing more. I thought they were his real friends, but it is so obvious they are not. It is honestly a miracle we got Kamikaze and MTBMB, but if this “”””interview”””” is any sign to come, his next album will be Shady XV Disc One status. Hopefully that the woe-is-me attitude Marshall currently seems to have inspires enough passion to produce more genuine work in the future, but between this interview and Paul freeing up enough time to continue sabotaging Em’s career, I’m not hopeful.Xmipod, Tone Riggz, Guma and 3 others like this. -

Relapse wasn't so bad. It was when he dyed his hair blonde and went to I think NFL or NBA games and would act like a weirdo and the 2 co commentators had no idea what was going on.Jun 1, 2026
