    1. 40 versions of the album
    2. Actually announcing it beforehand with lots of promotion unlike her last two surprise drop albums
    3. Going back to pop after making 2 alternative albums while people were looking for a big pop album because they say pop is boring and dead right now
    4. Having large fan base of white girls. White girls are more likely to buy all the different versions of the album, tickets, merch, etc. than anyone else
    5. Established name and legend
    Taylor has always had high sales, but this one is surprising. Like I’ve said before, high sales like this require a miracle. If any other pop star did this today, they would not sell as much. Not even Adele broke 1 million sales last year.
    Yeah, when Taylor says this it’s “clever” and “a reference to a TV show” but if Em did this it would be “creepy”. Then again, everyone in Hollywood is… never mind. I don’t want the black van to follow me again.
