Jan 14, 2022 I've been saying that he needs hype since he stopped doing things. But you guys are overreacting here, it's just collabs and remixes, as long as the album is good, who cares. It hurts his image, but most people won't listen anyway, it's just stans checking for new Em verses.
Jan 14, 2022 Yeah I didn't like this verse. And it got me thinking that the past -what?- 6 features he's been on have all followed the same pattern. Calmed tone, one "big" punchline surrounded by a bunch of smaller ones (some good, mostly bad), then a faster part and finally he ends slower. If I was to take this tendency he's been carrying and project it onto the upcoming album then I think it might be too much. Might get bored of it by track #4. The main thing keeping me hyped up right now is usually Em comes up with a new style and flow for every new album, and then use that style for the features in between albums. Specially if we count MTBMB Side A and B as one project.

Jan 14, 2022 Also, if we don't count Infinite because he was too young, he was trying to find his own style and because he didn't have Dre's guidance back then, then: SSLP, MMLP, TES = GOOD/VERY GOOD/GREAT Then came ENCORE = s--- RELAPSE, RECOVERY, MMLP2 = GREAT/GOOD/AVERAGE Then came REVIVAL = s--- KAMIKAZE, MTBMB, MTBMB SIDE B = GREAT/GOOD/GREAT New album = s---? Is this a pattern?. 3 GREAT or GOOD albums in a row, then a piece of crap album that totally ruins everything for him?.
Jan 14, 2022 Walkthrough verse is so good, the airplane part with the distorted verse is so good to listen too. I still like Parables too after a few listens now, some of the switches are good and has some content in it that is not shoehorned in. Take this over Last One Standing anyways where it’s just just another verse about overcoming the odds and going through the emotions.
