Dudes harassing cops in DC

    How should it be then? You can treat them however you want and get away with anything? Sounds like it would work out great.

    I mean if you're not threatening them or harming them, you should be able to say whatever you want to a cop. An officer shouldn't be able to stop you or arrest you or whatever simply because you were rude/snarky to him. That's my point.

    Right and my point is that there is no need for that. They are differentiating good from bad, identifying criminals. What good does it do to just be able to talk s--- to a cop? It's worth nothing and just puts you in the crosshairs, literally and metaphorically. Talk s--- to a cop, I encourage you.

    That's easy for us to say because we're not the ones who are targeted on a daily basis. People who have bad experiences with cops (predominately minorities in poorer neighborhoods) don't view cops the same as us. They're much more likely to be snarky/rude towards cops because they simply don't like them. I don't ever talk back to police because I like living lol and don't want to put myself in a position where my life is in danger.
