Aug 9, 2015 feel ya. saw it when it came out without subtitles and just played music over the top and watched the fights. I got the gist of the story just by watching it... ending is the only let down of the movie though really. Spoiler: dont click if you havent seen the movie I think it's obvious what they were doing. I'm not 100% sure cause i don't speak spanish, but, i'm fairly certain that minion mentions to frieza "why not just blow the planet up now?" early on in the movie. The series is old as f---, there's an entire generation of kids/teens that haven't seen DBZ before, so the ending is there intro, to the power that these fighters have. The DBZ story has so much growth in it. You literally go from 'alien fighters crash land on earth and fighters from earth fight them off' to 'interplanetary/afterlife travelling humanoid aliens that can destroy planets with a flicka da wrist
Aug 9, 2015 Spoiler If they scrapped the time-reversal ending it could've been a great opportunity to open up a new story for the series to continue with (EG: the Z warriors discovering Dragon Balls in a different universe to wish back Earth perhaps?) I agree tho that Vegeta got royally screwed. I really hated his story in the movie. He became even more b-----made. Spoiler The minions didn't mention blowing up the planet. They were lamenting why Frieza wanted to enact revenge. The minions wanted to move on and rebuild the army to rule the universe once more, Frieza didn't want that.

Aug 12, 2015 Frieza is my favorite DBZ Villain of all time, but I found this film kinda boring for the most part Maybe, I wasn't into it like I should be.. I'll probably re-watch it again in the future

Aug 16, 2015 Watched the movie last night. Anyone else mad every time they see Gohan? What a waste of potential. Around the Cell games he was the strongest character on the show and had potential to become stronger than both Vegeta and Goku. Now he's some nerd not interested in fighting, getting knocked out in one blow and doesn't go past SSJ2. SMFH
