Apr 29, 2015 They have both on hulu plus. I've always wanted to get into dragon ball. I haven't watched it since I was a kid but now that I look into it, everything seems so complicated and how the movies have alternative stories and endings compared to the show
Apr 29, 2015 na bro it aint even like that.. just start at dragon ball z and watch til the end the movies (generally) all take place during the same timeline.. just during different parts of the seasons.. like.. dragon ball z battle of gods, takes place 5 years after the last season of dragon ball z .. so technically it continues the story past the tv show dragon ball z the legendary super saiyan broly, takes place right before season 6 so if you might watch dbz tv show first then watch the movies .. certain people like gohan might either, be a teenager or a child the characters age.. so its easy to tell where in the series the movies take place if you really like it, you could watch dragon ball gt.. which continues the storyline even further .. but at this point its considered not canon and thus could be referred to as "alternate universe" you could even watch dragon ball… which is basically goku as a child… his origin story before dragon ball z takes place
Apr 29, 2015 IIRC, the finale of DBZ had a flash-forward to the World Tournament where we see everybody 'grown up' per se. Like we see Gohan's kid, Trunks and Goten as teens and we also see Uub. The BoG and RoF movies are before that specific ending, so I wonder if we will actually see that timeline and go from there as well.

Apr 29, 2015 I haven't watched many of the movies, my friend says the ones worth watching are the two Broly movies. There are also specials like Bardock the Father of Goku which is a backstory of Bardock, and there's another special called The History of Trunks which looks at Future Trunks' history and how he grew up. But yeah aside from the ones I've said the other movies don't really further the series on or anything. They act more like sideshows. The only movies that are meant to further the series is Battle of Gods and the new upcoming Resurrection of F movies.
Apr 29, 2015 I found new 3 manga chapters (easy to find on google).. it's pre-Revivial of Freeza (possible spoilers for the movie) but it's not even drawn by Toriyama, just supervised by him... it's drawn by the same guy who did Dragon Ball AF, but officialy released in Japan in the Shonen Jump magazine or some s--- like that
Apr 29, 2015 The first Broly movie is okay, but Broly - Second Coming surpasses it imo. Some of the other DBZ films surpass both Broly films, but that's down to preference. You should definitely check out both Cooler movies, Bojack Unbound, Fusion Reborn and Wrath of the Dragon.

Apr 29, 2015 None of the movies are canon though, except Battle of Gods, Revival of F, and those short films like History of Trunks, Bardock, and the one with Vegeta's brother i can't remember it's name. And Battle of Gods does not take place after DBZ, it takes place 3 years after the Buu battle. But remember, the last 2 episodes of DBZ took place 10 years after the Buu battle. So Batle of Gods/Revival of F take place before the last 2 episodes of DBZ.
