    What if he used the storyline of GTA as inspiration though? He used Straight Outta Compton (the movie) as rough inspiration to deliver Compton the album. It's not like he isn't open to concepts and inspiration, we knew he was balls deep in making an album from the POV of a serial killer and also into "Planets" with each track titled after a planet in the solar system.

    Here's the difference;
    -Compton is based on a real story about NWA that Dre was apart of.

    -GTA is a video game which historically has not had anything to do with Dre/his story and not real and only roughly based on real life locations.

    GTAV has an average of 100,000 players a day,
    Spotify has an average of 104 million users a day.

    Do you see why is a s--- idea now everyone? Do you see why it's like impossibly likely now? f--- me, Dres social media accounts have probably got more followers than the GTAV playerbase ffs you clowns

    Why do you think him using GTA as a platform means he won’t release it elsewhere? Who’s saying that?

Perhaps inspired by his impressive cameo in the Oscar-winning good-cop-bad-cop drama Training Day (or as Prince Paul’s hip-hopera A Prince Among Thieves), he explained that it would be about the life of a hit man of the same name. “I had to come up with something different but still keep it hardcore, so what I decided to do was make my album one story about one person and just do the record through a character’s eyes,” he told MTV News that April. “It’s probably going to take me a year to get it all together.” 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and Eminem would add vocals, and Denzel Washington was rumored to narrate the whole thing.

    For people who can comprehend what this is, it gives you an idea of the vision from Dre & why just a random brilliant cut was never enough, this man wanted a cinematic experience.

    Dre could've easily have topped 2001 crazy that he didn't release any of these albums but was cool on releasing Compton. soundtrack or not it's still looked at as a dre album and follow up to 2001.

    It’s funny really that he didn’t release any new material on the fear of not coming close to 2001, clearly Compton was a thought process absent of that previous mindset, but it just makes them years in between completely pointless to be wasted. I have no doubt the future won’t be wasted.

    You do know Dre actually appeared in the latest GTA online update with an entire skit about finding a flash drive with unreleased music on it right? It's really not that far fetched.

    No one's saying it would only be listenable in the game. Of course it would be on Spotify etc. The point is that it could be used as inspiration and we already know Dre has a relationship with GTA.

    I'm not. Why premiere your anticipated long awaited album/single on a video game made like 8 yrs ago with 100k players, when you can do it via superbowl, via spotify, via YouTube, via anything else?
    Yeah I know all of that, still far fetched cause it's such a s--- idea. 8f does inspiration for a new album is gtav I don't want it lol

    It just boggles my brain that dre has makes music so good and doesn’t release any of it.

    When he dies there will be so much music released that people won’t know what to even listen to
