Exactly - I replayed that commercial like 50 times when I first heard it. The part that hits in the middle of the commercial is when you can basically imagine Dre rapping a godly verse with his bass-y voice (which sounds perfect now on the GTA songs compared to Compton). Basically him saying "look what you could have, but I will never give it to you".

It's also shows the fact that he can really feel his audience - the GTA tracks sounded EXACTLY as I would imagine video games rap songs sounding like. They were perfectly crafted for that.

This commercial shows that he is still making EXACTLY the sound that people want from Detox. Not a new Dre album but DETOX. It's mind boggling why he is doing what he's doing.

I can solidly say the Detox is it. That's the end game for me music wise. Waiting for it almost 20 years I swear as long as I am able to hear it, I wouldn't need a new album for the rest of my life.

The way I look at it is there's 3 ways this music goes
1) no way dre puts out a full solo project with 12 or more new songs PLUS a "dr dre presents the contract ep" with 6 additional songs in the span of a few months so these 6 songs will be in the solo album

2) full solo album with completely new material but the contract isn't under Dre's name and these end up being "throw away" music that will eventually come out on streaming under official rockstar/gta account like those playlist

3) we never get the gta music officially or in full quality but get a solo album

There are some glimpses of greatness here and Dre stil got one of the best voices in the rap game.
