Sep 8, 2015 Arch I like you and I like your opinions most of the time but I just can't seem to fathom how you could call this "one of the worst albums I've ever heard" I have seen recently on other threads you posting stuff on MGK. How can you like Kmart rapper MGK, (who truly is one of the WOAT) and sit here and call this album trash. It baffles me, totally mindblowing. I mean even if you don't like the lyrics, or the flows...how can you at least not like the production. It is top tier, you aren't going to get much better than this for the year 2015. To each their own I guess...
Sep 8, 2015 medicine man doesn't fit the album at all but it's definitely not bad. still love it. but darkside/gone can't be beat. it's all on me as well
Sep 10, 2015 I start to get tired of the album, it's really well produced and there's only good songs on it but it's definitely not the classic i expected... In 5 years we won't remember any tracks from this LP like it will still be the case for Chronic's and 2001's bangers...
Sep 10, 2015 still listen to this album. all in a days work animal one shot one k--- are my favourites. theres only 2 tracks i dont like
Sep 10, 2015 Production is great! I wasn't expecting this to be anywhere near the level of Chronic and 2001.
Sep 10, 2015 I've explained my views on this album several times but I'll explain it again. First of all how can this album be a classic, great, or even good for that matter, when it literally doesn't even have ONE GOOD SONG ON THE ENTIRE ALBUM. Talking To My Diary is okay, but I wouldn't consider it good, especially not by Dre standards. The only real highlight on the album to me is Em's verse on Medicine Man, which is phenomenal, but the rest of the song outside of that sucks. The rest of the songs on the album aren't even worth mentioning. There isn't one standout verse, song, or even beat anywhere to be found. Why do you think there is no single or video for this album out? Cuz it literally doesn't have a single on it! There isn't one song good enough to be one. Try comparing this to his other two albums and there is no comparison. Both The Chronic and 2001 are both undeniable classics on first listen. There was no need for them to "grow on you" like some people are saying this piece of s--- album will do. The lyrics and production is still fresh and mind-blowingly good till this day. And these are 15-20 year old albums now. Whereas with Compton sitting through my first listen was downright painful. Parts of this album make my ears bleed. I don't know what else to say about it other than it just simply isn't good, in any way shape or form. At what makes it worse is (even though he says Detox was totally scrapped) he had 16 years to work on material for this project. And this is what we get? An album with literally not even one good song on it? Usually every bad album has a few gems on it. Even Encore for example, had a handful of classics. This album literally does not have one good song. Which is why I say it is arguably the worst album of all-time. Oh and since you brought up MGK, I by no means think he's the best or anything. But he has a handful of songs that are way better than anything on this album, or anything else Dre has touched in the past five years. Checkout The Return, See My Tears, Been Through It All, etc.
Sep 10, 2015 You spend an awful lot of time continuing to convince yourself that you don't like this album. Most people don't dwell on something they don't like to the extent you do. The first few times you posted I thought you genuinely didn't like the album, now it is obvious that you are just trolling.
Sep 10, 2015 It's actually the opposite. I've been listening to it alot trying to force myself to like it, trying to understand what the h--- everybody else is talking about, trying to let it grow on me, and it's just not happening. The album is flat out awful.
