Dec 8, 2016 Howdy y'all budding film maker and photographer here in the market to buy a camera probably a canon dslr my price range is i guess $300-700 i know this is pretty vague i can get totally pacific just hit me with questions or w.e please help me i feel very overwhelmed and indieceive
Dec 8, 2016 if video is important to you then canon is a must in your price range. my advice is: get the 500D w standard 18-55mm optics, then buy more lenses over time. definitely look into getting a prime lens next, the aperture can make for insanely good shots in low lighting with low depth of field.
Dec 8, 2016 thats what im looking at or 600d what im not understanding is like http://cameradecision.com/compare/Pentax-K-S2-vs-Canon-EOS-500D why does this pentax seem so much better than the canon specs wise? plus its much cheaper? ive always used primarily canons and i know what i would be getting with a 5d or a 600d i just dont understand what the cons of getting this camera would be bc im sure they would have to be some (other than not being able to use canon lens')
Dec 8, 2016 when it comes to video, canon > any other dslr brand i use nikon so this isnt me being biased. getting lenses for canon is so much easier too
Dec 8, 2016 oh for sure, i mean i get that i love canons and their dslrs ive just been doing some research and i dont understand why some of these dslrs are rated so much better but noone seems to use them like can you see why
Dec 8, 2016 basically exactly what i was planning on doing, thanks for the pizza mind. still just confused about this pentax tho lol
Dec 8, 2016 ya was about to say, its like asking why more ppl drink coke rather than dr pepper its just the bigger brand
Dec 8, 2016 man thats crazy it could make that much difference. did you check out the comparison for the specs? the pentax just blows it out of the water it seems
Dec 8, 2016 if ur new to it and this is your first camera I'd recommend a Nikon because all Nikon lenses are compatable with all Nikon bodies so you can get a feel for just about any kind of lens/style of shooting on your base body then when you're ready to go pro you can buy an actual body meant for what you're looking to do (which would be a canon in your case)
Dec 8, 2016 the nikons dont really get a good long shot when im shooting my p---, s--- gets all grainy nahmsayn
