Mar 30, 2021 Same with me and my Mom. "Older" people tend to not have side effects as harsh as younger ones. I had a pretty rough night and a little fever the next day, while my mom was going to work without any problems. She had Moderna tho I think while I had Astra. Astra also seems to be more aggressive in the first shot and not so much in the second, while the mrna ones have it the other way around.
Mar 30, 2021 She’s back to normal now thankfully, seems like all the impact was within 48 hours, shivers, throwing up & sleep insomnia.
Mar 30, 2021 Got my 2nd dose of Pfizer a couple days ago. Sore arm for a day but that’s it. No symptoms. My mom got her 1st dose of Moderna almost a week ago now & no symptoms either. Just a sore arm.
Mar 30, 2021 I wonder when the vaccine passport will be rolled out. If you think masks caused issues, you ain’t seen s--- yet.
Apr 4, 2021 We've been using Pfizer from the beginning (I think we were the first western country to approve any vaccine). AZ was second but we bought the most of that as it's British-made. Think we've got Moderna starting in a few weeks/months as well. I haven't heard anything about us using J&J here at all though. Guess we've got enough secured to vaccinate the entire population so no real need.
Apr 4, 2021 I just hope they don't start mixing vaccines. I was lucky to get Phizer for my first jab.
Apr 4, 2021 2nd shot knocked me on my a--- a little more than I thought it would. Yesterday was just tired and had a headache. Today feel pretty sick with body aches and chills
Apr 4, 2021 This was a point I believed to be true for a bit now. It seemed feasible that people being quarantined inside for most of the past year would lead to increased suicides but at least in the U.S., surprisingly not true.
Apr 9, 2021 Went to the doc today to talk about my IgA deficiency and the vax—I gotta go to an immunologist to do a deeper dive into what I have because the preliminary blood test only shows the general deficiency and not what kind of IgA deficiency it is. Basically there's two types of vaccine (mRNA and Viral Vector) and we gotta figure out which one is more appropriate for my body. Not 100% clear on the details yet (that's what the specialist is for) but I believe he said one of them can cause your body to attack the good antibodies instead of the virus so you don't build an immunity or can get sick.
Apr 9, 2021 It's a crap s---t right now. I was reading how they've had to stop J&J shots at a few sites due to adverse reactions.
Apr 9, 2021 Yeah, I'm def a prime candidate for adverse reactions so I'm holding off til I get a professional opinion from a specialist lol. Sucks but it is what it is. At least by the time I'm done with all that there will be more data about the effectiveness of each type of vaccine.
Apr 11, 2021 hoping the U.S. government begins mandating the vaccine soon for federal employees. States ought to do the same for state employees too. If we want to reach herd immunity, people need to be pushed to get vaccination. That’s just the reality of the situation.
