    I don't think Swizz is lying when he says these songs were 100% done before DMX died.

    During recording Swizz probably realized X is too passed it and had to edit the s--- out of it and add other artists to cover up the fact X can barely hold his own compared to what he used to.

    Even though it's sad we didn't get more X, I think we should be happy with what we got. As crazy as it sounds, had there been more X on it, this could have turned out a lot more disappointing.

    This is a much better note to end on than Undisputed. X was clearly past his prime, but there's enough character and vulnerability here to make it feel quite poignant. The skit ending with a joke about heart attacks seems weird to keep on here though. It's carried by some decent guest appearances and beats. Definitely feels like a posthumous album despite being mostly assembled by DMX himself. You can tell it was collected over some time. Joe Budden beat for the intro had me worried it was going to be really familiar.

    I never listened to Redemption Of The Beast, but it feels like more of a shame that that shady label released an entire album's worth of DMX material.

    Yeah it's kind of crazy how much of a let down this is apparently it's a watered down version of the original Re done beat intro taken out mixed differently etc

    You're not wrong this is probably the case sadly, in the interview from yesterday swizz did say he would protect X. Said that they need to not be humble with him and treat him like a giant or a god so him editing Xs input for his legacy makes sense after reading that.

    Bath Salts is definitely one of the weaker songs. Swizz really made it out to be way more than it actually is. Got a little too obsessed over that beat lol.

    Nas is the redeeming part.
