I created this album during the toughest time of my life. I took my sweet time creating this as I wanted to naturally let the grieving process take place, and record how I was feeling during it all. We all go through a loss of a loved one at some point in life. Hopefully you can take something meaningful from this album, even if it’s just 1 song, 1 verse, or 1 line that connects with you. There is a lot of anger, hate, sadness, and confusion on this album along with peace, love, happiness, and clarity. Thanks to all those we lost or that we still have with us that give us the inspiration to create, and chase our dreams. The tough times gave me a kick in the a--- to do something that I’ve always wanted to do. It’s been my life long dream to make an album, and I finally did it! Music is just what feelings sound like. Appreciate everyone who gives this a listen!

I definitely do, I have so much recorded, I need to get it mixed

Listened to the whole album, great stuff man. Wasn’t expecting so much introspective stuff, it was really inspiring and your flow is on point throughout which I’d expect. You hit some crazy pockets with it, flows on Losing are great and the second verse of So Grateful is f---ing insane. Probably the best thing I’ve ever heard from you, just flawless flow switches and lyricism, you made it all sound effortless and it’s really a perfect song.

No Matter What is the vintage punchline hits I remember you being so good at, great stuff. Overall a really personal album obviously but you did a really good job of addressing your Mother from different angles (Vacation is a cool mix of the introspective and punchlines) weaving in and out of the pain from that to being grateful for the lessons and your current life as is the concept of the album.

Hey Love and Celebrate are beautiful songs, Celebrate is the perfect close to the album. You did a great job witb the sequencing of this album. Hope you do well with promoting it man.

Wow thanks so much for the detailed review! Really appreciate you giving it an attentive listen and happy you enjoyed it a lot!

I honestly don’t know the best way to promote it without spending money on promo.

I’ve gotten some nice feedback that certain songs made people cry or they connected with certain tracks because they recently had someone they love pass away and that’s really what makes me want more people to hear this since I know a lot of people will relate.

I checked out your “Jon Snow” song, it’s dope. Did you do the mixing on that? The vocals are mixed nicely and have some cool effects.

Yeah that was exactly my experience, you had a really uplifting take on it that would help a lot of people for sure.

Definitely hard/impossible to promo nowadays for free. If you have even a little money to spend, running Facebook ad campaigns work really well. I haven’t done them personally but I will be trying it for my upcoming stuff, I know people who have had a lot of success with them.

Thanks for peeping Jon Snow, nah I’m awful at mixing, I probably wouldn’t release something I mixed myself. Did you mix your album? It sounds great in that respect. I have one main engineer but he’s expensive so I’m trying to find some competent cheaper ones

Ah ok, yeah I’ll look more into the best investment for promo where I won’t have to spend more than a few hundred dollars to get a decent reach

Yessir I mixed the whole album, thanks! I don’t consider myself a great mixer but I’ve been mixing 95% of my vocals for all these years so I’ve definitely gotten better as my old music from 2008-2010 had some horrible mixing lol

I hate the time constraints & pressure of having studio time and recording stuff within 2-3 hours and paying for it. This album was recorded at my friends house, he legit built a studio with top quality equipment so I can record this. Can’t wait to get a home studio.

you def need to learn to record and mix your own stuff. Download Audacity, it’s free and easy to use. Get a good mic, and mic guard, and from there just practice.
It won’t take long, plus they have YouTube vids to help.

Yeah you were always a great rapper but i definitely remember your vocals being occasionally rough lol, this sounds great. And nah I have a nice home studio, I’ve always recorded my own stuff, I just s--- at mixing lol. I send my vocals to engineers after I record them. You inspired me to try one more time to learn though, I sat down this past weekend and tried my best :’(

    It’s all trial and error

I feel with a professional engineer my project would sound a lot better but at the same time I know my mixing isn’t bad, so it’s not worth the money to pay for better mixing.

You should prob record at home, mix your own tracks and if you truly love a song pay for it to be mixed professionally.

I used emastered for every track it and def enhanced the sound of the song. Maybe look into purchasing emastered and testing out mastering your tracks that way.
