Apr 6, 2016 They have a similar vibe, but they're still very different. Tpab had a lot of free jazz influenced songs, and a lot of p-funk influenced songs...on UU they ventured in different subgenres, such as jazz fusion and all that s--- that makes me think that kendrick & tde knew they were gonna drop something after tpab...something similar but still different enough (if that makes sense).
Apr 6, 2016 blue faces couldve been on tpab but yeah i guess i see that ^ you are a perfect example of a kendrick stan that rebutals with genuine information, and its so much easier to respect you for that
Apr 6, 2016 I doubt that. I think Terrance said U3 was exclusively written for the Colbert performance. Not to mention that mostof them songs aren't finished, they're probably missing a few samples and other s--- and kendrick probably knew it was gonna be impossible to clear them
Apr 6, 2016 half of U8 was actually recorded for George's album, so that's another track that was probably not intended to be on TPAB I get what you're saying, they were recorded around the same time, so UU & tpab are obviously sharing some of the same musical elements but it seems like kendrick really didn't try to record some of these songs for his album
Apr 10, 2016 Come to think about it he probably would've merge the songs like " You aint gotta lie " to " I can Explain U6 " like for example how he added swimming pool verse
