Report: Conor McGregor in ‘very serious danger’ as mob bosses demand ransom for barroom brawl

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor McGregor is one of the most popular and recognizable athletes in the world, thanks to his exploits in both mixed martial arts (MMA) and boxing.

According to veteran crime reporter Paul Williams, the “Notorious” troublemaker has been targeted by the mob — to the tune of a €900,000 ransom — for his role in a barroom brawl over the weekend in Dublin, Ireland.

Conor McGregor is potentially in very, very serious danger, I hear that from my sources and from looking at the lay of the land. He has ended up crossing swords- accidentally or however - with some very, very heavy people, or some people who are related to some very, very heavy people who could pose a very serious threat to his safety, and potentially his life. Why does the Kinahan drug cartel — run by Christy “The Dapper Don” Kinahan — suddenly care about a local barroom brawl? According to The Irish Sun, McGregor wound up slugging the father of a well-known gangland figure, described as a “volatile d--- dealer” with “an extremely violent past.”

The police have been made aware of the situation, but according to reports, no complaints have been filed on either side (with no injuries reported) and there is no credible threat against the Irishman’s life.
