Is Vietnam, South Korea, New Zealand & Australia lying too? Or is the 0-Covid action taken by their governments actually effective?

See? Did @Australia have to padlock their citizens inside their f---ing apartments to beat america at its covid response?

No, America f----- that up like we always do. That doesn't mean china should be able to do that s--- or that it was the right move at all lmao

Only the residents who weren’t complying were being “locked in” & there was civil servants on the beat at all times if there was any form of emergency.

In that case, I hate to say this but idk maybe they should have arrested or fined the people repeatedly disobeying the temporary laws? Its what we should have done for sure, along with having an actual lockdown

No Australian police just beat people to a pulp & ran them over when they were out past the curfew. Also like I said earlier we all had a head start on tackling the disease, China got side swiped as it’s the epicentre. Luckily they had all the SARS units from 2003 to combat it effectively.

It’s funny you say that because obviously every council deals with things differently so in Wuhan they tended to use the measure of locking in — remember it was a brand new deadly disease, they didn’t want to interact with people in case of infection so arresting them wasn’t really an option. Then in other provinces after the science started to mature, if similar behaviour occurred, they would arrest them which birthed the statements of “citizens are being disappeared” etc lmao

We should’ve had full lockdowns yes but what about our FREEDOM? Can’t have nanny state telling us what to do. We had anti-lockdown protests ffs bruv. There’s no saving us.

Our freedom? When did I say full lockdowns mean you had to be padlocked in your house

I know, but I don’t have a problem with this. I think people deserve it for endangering other innocent bystanders during this pandemic. I think the military should’ve been deployed in the UK.
Saw loads of vids of them doing it last summer lol

You must be fun at parties

You really think with as big a population as China has that they’ve only had around 90,000 cases? Given the long incubation period you know it spread fast, especially given how much public transport is used between the provinces. It just doesn’t add up. And none of those countries you listed imprisoned their own citizens in their houses.

Why do you trust China and defend them so heavily? Genuinely curious. Are you one of those people who think people should live for the state rather than themselves?

Let me be clear, these are special circumstances where I think our civil servants should’ve been put to practical use for civilian aid. I do not support locking people in their homes as I myself am not stupid enough to defy a rule that is protecting my health anyway.

This is the first time I’ve even mentioned China on this forum which has resulted in pages of questions/attacks etc. I could just ignore it but if I have the information to respond to the points, why withhold it? Apart from the fact it turns people against you for no f---ing reason.

Mate there’s plenty of things I can attack any nation on this planet for but none of them have been brought up, I’m merely responding to quotes.

I know you of all people aren’t capable of understanding a complex situation like that with nuance especially when daddy USA says it’s true.

Think of this logically as you’ve just brought it up — **WHY** would I be against the genocide of the Muslim population of Palestine but be in favour of the Muslim genocide of Xinjang? Use your brain ffs.

I’m just trying to have a discussion man.

Also, you haven’t provided any hard evidence that the Uighur genocide isn’t happening and is a hoax.

So am I but you keep interacting in bad faith & some of the points you’re using are so old in terms of basic propaganda that it’s tiring to even read never mind argue against & I'm not really benefitting from this discussion am I. I’m not blaming you for doing it because it’s so common, I used to do it myself.

I’m going to put together a comprehensive source grab & explanation to then send you. I’m not going to half a--- it so it’ll take me awhile as we’re talking about a geopolitical conflict that goes back over 100 years. At the moment I’m slightly preoccupied with the barrage ongoing in here.

ohhhhhh so now issues are complex & nuanced but before…lol
Also, just to be clear, there are a wide variety of sources who have reported on the muslim genocide in China that aren’t the U.S. government lol. From independent journalism to human watch groups etc. So I’m not sure like what nuance or complexities you’re referring to that makes you doubt this is happening.
