I never went into the thread at SL because I was always behind, but I finally finished the show last night. Loved it for the most part. Al Capone, Lucky Luciano and Meyer were all my favourite characters.

And I loved the ending, I honestly never seen that coming. Interested in hearing peoples thoughts on the finale.

This show was great. I'm upset they decided to make season 5 the last season, lots of big moments in history they missed out on with the 7 year jump from season 4 to 5. No other show/movie/documentary was able to portray the beginning of the mafia era as well as BE, most movies usually are super corny. The actors who played Luciano, Lansky, Bugsy and Capone all did an amazing job also, Bugsy in that last season was > *.

Also, since were on the topic of great shows, @M Solo needs to create the Wire thread again.

completely agree...its sad that ratings weren't that good, because it deserved at least 6-7 seasons...I felt season 5 was rushed (8ep) when really it could have gone couple more seasons with the great characters they built, actors did an amazing job & storyline/cinematography was great and realistic in terms of history

Ya they had so much more they could have did...not sure if i liked the ending though was kinds cool how it came full circle with tommys son though.
