Relevance isn't directly proportional to the quality of music though.

Ready To Die alone is better than most of his discography.

lets face the facts his music has been awful for years compared to his earlier work, almost every single review is negative
how can you call him one of the best rappers when his disgograhy from the past 5 years can be beaten by a 2chainz album?

Not to me. I prefer listenin to The Eminem Show to any other album but Biggie is definitely the one of the goats. What I've been tryin' to say is he only has 2 albums ( he has like 50 songs let's say ) And let's pretend they are all classics still Jay & Em would have twice as much as classic songs Biggie had.

Ok, but that doesn't negate the fact that his earlier albums are better than Kendrick's entire discography. Like I know Jay Z is garbage af right now but does that negate his previous work? Lupe Fiasco isn't relevant at all but his a--- dropped a top 10 project this year imo

In My opinion, SSLP, MMLP and TES but if you want me to try to think objectively I can say that Reasonable Doubt on par with Marshall Mathers LP & The Eminem Show at least.

I can name several corny punchlines and bad songs from all those albums you mentioned. Can you do the same with Reasonable Doubt?

Obviously. But he's only put out 1 so far, 2 if you want to count Section 80.

I don't think several corny punchlines and songs that you call bad will change their quality. Reasonable Doubt songs are great but to me, The Eminem Show is a whole lot relatable and catchy. It has soooo much replay value. I don't know maybe the way Em sounds or something about it make it on another level...

EDIT: Em talks some s--- that people all over the World can easily relate to like being in a f----- up relationship, struggles in his early life, his mother etc.. Jay was more like Street s---. I don't even live in USA, I've never seen that gangsta and d--- dealing kinda s---..

    3 if your being real
2 if you count Section 80 as a mixtape
but really like a few people dont like TPAB so its automatically not great, make a thread and a poll asking that question and i guarantee more people would day that albums great over trash
tpab is gold in my opinion

I can tell you this, the people who can relate to songs like D'evils, Dead Presidents can't relate to songs like Sing For The Moment or Cleanin Out My Closet. And personally, I feel TES is the worst album of his prime. Dated production, pseudo-politics, and songs like Say What You Say, Superman really bring it down a whole lot.
