Never said it was real music lol or better in general for that matter
I don't think anyone can truly jump into the s--- that I like so you'd have to look into that yourself start with the classics like slayer pantera some Metallica some older Slipknot see if you like any of that then try some metalcore etc idk man it's something you'd have to try out for yourself

Slipknot - psychosocial, wait and bleed, before I forget
Metallica - wherever I may roam, seek and destroy, sad but true
Pantera try their older work you might not like their newer stuff but - walk, 5 minutes alone, becoming, I'm broken
Try some system of a down too - chop suey, ATWA, prison song

I'm not really a fan of this kind of music but it's definitely not bad at all its just somewhere to start. I'm not a huge fan of melodic metal I'm more of a fan of the metal where you have no idea what they're saying lol.
