I remember that 76ers team. They had the MVP, 6th man, DPOTY, and Coach of the year. Traded Theo Ratliff to the Hawks for Mutombo mid season. And IIRC Eric Snow was in the running for most improved player that year too. I remember before Phili he shot something like 20% for free throws in seattle. I honestly thought the 76ers would beat the Lakers in the finals that year.

Iverson briefly turned me into a 76ers fan early last decade.

Curry's ankle's have been fine for a while now lol

I'd probably take A.I. as I don't think Curry would be able to guard him.

Iverson would win--because he's better at creating his own shot.

I like this thread though--because both of these guys are undersized players who obviously have been very successful in the NBA

I think Curry would. But it'd be pretty close. Ivo used to be my absolute fave in my preteens and whatnot.

    nah

but he was great-- ESPECIALLY for someone of his size.

iverson played much bigger than he was--and that's unusual in the NBA

I think Curry will certainly be the better player when his career's over if he's not already. Both are smaller guards that were a lot of fun to watch, but Curry's breaking all kinds of records already and on pace to break even more if he keeps this up, and more importantly he's won a ring and could win more.

Really surprised at how lopsided this is, poll question should probably be 'who do you like better' cuz that'd be more accurate.

If you think AI's better, then I guess that's sort of debatable for now. But there's no question Curry will go down as better than AI when he's retired unless something crazy happens. Curry's more efficient, a better all around player, could go down as the best shooter of all time and has already won a championship and will probably win more. Iverson plays with a ton of heart and is a lot of fun to watch, but there's no logical reason to think Iverson's career will be seen as better than Curry's when it's all said and done.

I went with Iverson just because I thought he was the more impressive player. The only edge I'd give Steph is obviously his 3pt shot. Other than that Iverson is > @ ball handling, driving to the lane, and defending. It's always hard doing these comparisons, especially with guys from different eras. This one is valid & really close, so my tie breaker would be, what would they accomplish if they'd switched teams? No way in h--- Steph carries that Philly squad to the finals and a game 1 victory against Kobe & Shaq. Imagine what Iverson could do with the space created from being surrounding by the great shooters, rebounders & defenders Steph has on GS.
Curry is 6'3"...I know he's kinda frail but I'd hardly call him undersized at the PG position. Iverson MIGHT have been 6'0" and 170 lbs soaking wet.

Just realized/remembered the question in the original post was 'who'd win 1 on 1' but then the poll asks who's better, those are 2 very different things imo.
