Eminem's problem is he doesn't make songs with substance like he did in the past. Recovery had them, but the delivery was meh at times. MMLP2 had no songs that may have hit you in some way besides Headlights the rest of it was successful/unsuccessful attempts to show he could bring his MMLP persona back & to show he's the best lyricist alive. 2 songs on Shady XV & his Best Friend verse had substance, but again, the delivery was a hit or miss for a lot of people

I think you mean you don't relate to some the songs he makes; thus, making them have "no substance" in relation to YOU. He makes tons of songs with substance that others CAN feel. People need to stop mixing subjectivity with objectivity. Eminem isn't going to cater to any of you n-----'s complaints because in doing so, he would be setting a limitation on the overall creation process, leading to stagnation. Eminem is going to keep it fresh as he always has, reinventing himself continuously with each release.

Of course he has turned s--- now. Can you really truly say that albums like MMLP, TES, or (while not real) EP's like Straight From The Lab and what not are on the same level as his current work?

Have you heard his current work? Sure you have, and you think it is better or on par with his old work. Bruh, when Em was on features, when Em made a record, when Em took a s--- in the f---ing toilet, it was platinum, fire.

Now? It is a joke. Minus some good songs here and there, his delivery of content is way off. His flow and s--- is way off. He used to be seamless, use to melt the competition, now he just talks about McDonalds, football and how old he is getting (in a nutshell). Now he just complains he has nothing else to talk about.

Can you really tell me Fine Line or Vegas or Best Friend or Speedom was better than per say We All Die One Day, s--- Hits The Fan, 8 Mile Rd, We as Americans, Square Dance, Hellbound, Hail Mary, Nail in the coffin, Stimulate and many other songs he made are on par or below his current work?

His current work is s--- end of story. Yeah, he made a few gems here and there, but that is about it. He made gems of albums, now he is lucky to s--- one good song out every once in a while, and even then his delivery is horrid. The content is there, but delivered wrong.

I remember I used to be excited as f--- to hear the next thing to come out of his mouth, I knew I could rely and depend on him. But now? I can't help but get an overwhelming feeling that everytime it is mentioned that something new is coming out, that I already know it is s---. And it is. I gave up on the guy.

His current music is still dope and I disagree with your long a--- text. I don't even bother to write & explain why, because I did it a few times and no one changed their opinion and no one ever will, but you (not even aimed at you, but at everyone who's complaining for years now) gotta accept that many people still like/love (nohomo) his music. I thought that MMLP2 is equally (or a little less) good as SSLP.
From a lyrical standpoint he's better than ever, but whatever..

Long post, maybe. But some things needed to be said, and as well I am merely adding to discussion while understanding no ones mind will change. Just dropping a piece of opinion.

I have no problem with who likes what, but if an opinion was asked for, I will give it. If people like Recovery or Relapse or whatever cool. But in comparison I believe his older work was crafted better.

He still has the lyrics, can't doubt him, but the delivery and craft is what throws a curve ball at me. He still spits out some gems here and there.
