Nov 24, 2015 I decided to see what all the hype was about since it sold so many copies and I can honestly say that even with my versatile taste in music this album was really underwhelming. I went in expecting an upgraded/progressed version/sequel to 21 but honestly this s--- right here put me to sleep. There were 2 tracks I kind of enjoyed, the rest was the same recycled b/s she always moans about on her records, so I honestly don't understand what all this hype is about. The production is really sub-par considering the names that were involved in the production of this album. The instrumental was like, just there for the sake of being there it didn't add anything to Adele's vocals at all. And before anyone starts defending her saying she's made it this big cuz of her singing, I would like to stop you right there. Good vocals ≠ Good artist. There are Opera singers that are better at singing than Adele, but there's more to being a musician and artist than just singing.
Nov 24, 2015 This is insane. In a good way. I find it amazing how someone who doesn't stay in the spotlight as much as others do still reaches levels beyond our imagination. Has anyone ever thought that Adele could sell close to 3.5 million in a week? This proves to me that quality music will always thrive over s-----y performances, scandals and all that bs.
Nov 24, 2015 Very good album for me, a few average songs but the rest are golden and will become classics. Stand out tracks for me are; Send My Love I Miss You River Lea Million Years Ago All I Ask Sweetest Devotion Can't Let Go Honestly, from a song writing point of view the album is excellent. Adele's best quality for me is her ability to write a quality chorus and this album is full of them.
Nov 24, 2015 I enjoyed hello. Nothing else really stood out. But i am f---ing mind blown at her record sales. I don't know how the f--- she did this but people need to take note's. Never ever not once did I think someone would even get those numbers in this day and age.
Nov 24, 2015 No. I said majority of her sales came from elderly people. Not, most of her fans are old people. like she could have 1 million fans, and 250,000 are old people that buy the album. Not "ye their entire fan base is old people" i dunno how you missed that
