You could have a case of unfair dismissal (it can be classed as dismissal if you felt you had no choice but to quit). 80% is a Godsend right now, I won't lie. But that's only assuming the Company stays in business without a source of revenue. I have been managing pubs and restaurants for about 15 years now. Just opened a brand new one at the beginning of Feb. So really bittersweet for me. Opened a brand new business and then closed it again within about 6 weeks. Weird.

I'm just really really hoping this pandemic is over so I can find a new job... I'm in Brum, so I know that type of work can be a lucrative business, fair play.

Apr 19, 2020 Our Head Office is in Birmingham so I'm up there a fair amount. I enjoy it tbh but my Area Manager and Director are 2 of the best people I've met in my life so it makes it a bit easier to enjoy! I'd still look into seeking some kind of compensation if I were you. This could go on for months yet. Or get a job in a supermarket, I'm pretty sure they're all still hiring. Good luck though man, we'll all be fine. It's just going to take some perseverance to get there.
