    Dude are you kidding me? Trump was belittling masks the entire time and either did not use one or did not want to get photographed with one the first few months, and even after that he'd still make jabs at Biden about how often he wears his mask at the debates.

    Also: virtually every single human being I know still practices social distancing and other COVID precautions still lol. They've maybe eased up a little bit, but nobody I know is going to crowded bars and house parties.

    lol then why was a refusal to wear masks—as some sort of faux act of civil disobedience—a huge part of trump’s campaign? It’s inherently political whether you consciously mean it or not.

    Yeah, it’s interesting to me that Warnock is stronger than Ossoff. I wonder if it’s because Loefler is just bat s--- crazy so it turns some independents off or what. It’s so frustrating to me that Perdue can completely no show at debates & it doesn’t even really matter.

    This goes with my gut which says Warnock is much stronger than Loefler and will for sure win but Ossoff and Purdue being generic white guys will be tighter

    It sounds like we're mostly on the same page, so I'm nitpicking maybe, but I am curious how you think Dems played it poorly. The 2018 election - which took place basically at the apex of "Russiagate", just a few months before the Mueller report - was almost obsessively focused on health care. This was not, like, 1998 all over again. To me Congressional Dems, not always the smartest strategists, did exactly what they should have: highlight new Russia developments as they happened (because they absolutely were noteworthy), but ultimately focus their core messaging on issues that directly impact voters

    I mean tbh, I think there's a strong case to be made that Dems exercised a lot of restraint when the Mueller report arrived - 10 examples of obstruction of justice and remarkably, impeachment wasn't even seriously considered. Shoe, other foot, etc.
