Because Republicans fell in line and got behind the only candidate with a chance.

Democrats would rather lose with "their" candidate than win with somebody who doesn't fall in line with the elites.

No offense but I'm glad Trump is potentially going to lose. With that said the ONLY reason Biden is in the position he is is because of COVID. If COVID doesn't happen Trump wins in a landslide.

I'm starting to realize I have a much different perspective than most Americans because I never sat down to watch a reality tv show, ever... not once... they never piqued my interest... even the ones that my acquaintances and former roommates and colleagues have starred in. I've seen the highlights on shows that cover that sort of thing and YouTubed the best moments my people have been on them... but I never watched the actual shows.


To me... Trump is the same category of person as Richard Simmons... I became aware of both of them as being weird characters I became aware of 30 years ago... at the time I guess I didn't understand that Simmons was gay and campy... I just thought of him as odd and didn't know why other people were so interested in him... he made work out videos that appealed to obese women... and probably helped out some of them quite a bit... I didn't understand why David Letterman would have him on and why there were news stories about him and thought of him as weird.

Same goes for Trump... when I became aware of him he was famous for making such bad business deals that he was actually completely bankrupt and a billion dollars leveraged... he also bragged about having a gold toilet and made appearances in TV commercials where he looked like a dumb a------... and my New York family read tabloids that wrote about his sleazy personal life... it's hard for me to believe he could ever be seen in a good light or anyone would ever look up to him.

I mean, no. I disagree - I don’t fault you for not following the discussions here but I’ve made my passionate support and argument for Biden known over the past 18 months. And Tbh he’s met every moment In this race, including his dnc speech, to covid. Underrated if not generationally talented orator whose message and persona is rly suited for this moment, against trump. I’m not voting against trump I’m 100% voting for Biden lol, as are millions and millions of other voters But that’s not even the point here - this is clearly a historic, nasty period of time to almost everyone w half a brain, and it’s got to be repudiated. You need to do more research man.

Jet brings up some decent points but I still don’t think four more years of Trump is the answer.

The two-party system (mostly the way we operate with it and who the parties choose as their candidates) isn’t ideal by any means, but it’s simple enough. If you don’t like the way things are going under one old rich white guy, try a different old rich white guy next election.

trying to imagine what could happen in the next 22 days to materially change the trajectory of this race, short of Biden dropping dead. I don't know what it is. We have one more debate left (maybe) and SCOTUS hearings (which the public opposes). I wouldn't be surprised if things tighten a bit (because it's hard to imagine how they actually get WORSE for Trump), but most voters have their minds made up. Honestly Trump's only hope is a bigger polling error than 2016 at this point. Which is possible! But he's in very bad shape
