if trump dies today, pence is president until next inauguration. if trump wins and then dies after inauguration, pence is president. but if trump dies today no one is really sure who or what technically will/can go on the ballot next month. (and there’s a rule for what happens if the president-elect dies before inauguration but i forget what it is—house vote?)

I'm not 100% convinced he even has it, see how the next few days or the week ahead go..if he has a 'quick recovery' and starts talking bout how he's proof schools need to open up, or how he recovered so quickly due to this miracle vaccine he starts talking about then it was probably all fake imo. could possibly try to get out of the debates or get some sympathy votes too.

I dunno, probably thinking too much about it but it's just so hard to believe anything coming from Trump..

i’m not worried about trump, like, refusing to leave the lincoln bedroom, which he won’t do and which wouldn’t matter anyway. i am worried about his fat little fans murdering non-white ppl in the street, which has already started.

Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s no winner called on election night. Seems likely given the number of mail-in ballots this year. Nonetheless, the process will likely be chaotic. I can already see Donald Trump declaring himself the winner before all ballots are counted. Even if he loses, I can see him claiming the election was rigged.

If he does lose though, that lame duck period is going to be quite concerning. An unhinged Donald Trump with seemingly nothing else to lose. I have no idea what he’ll try to do which is scary.

Holy fucken s--- lmaoooo I’m pretty sure I just scared some of those kids for life by making them watch the first 30 minutes of that s--- show lmaoooo they had so many questions after though which was awesome. Hope it pushed some of them to register to vote lol

As for the debate itself...my f---ing lord....talk about desperation. Trump looked desperate. I’m not sure you can even declare a “winner” here because there wasn’t even a debate...on anything! What I do know is the shouting/interruptions of Biden, fighting with Chris Wallace etc. is only going to appeal to his base who is *already voting for him.* He’s down 7 points nationally. I find it very unlikely swing/undecided voters are going to find that debate performance by Donald Trump appealing.

I also would not be surprised if this is the only presidential debate. The Biden campaign isn’t going to want to engage in a circus show like this again. They could demand future debate moderators to mute the mic of the candidate not on the clock which I think would solve a lot but Trump campaign wouldn’t take too kindly to that. If I’m the Biden campaign though, if the polls don’t really move (especially if they shift in Biden’s favor) I pull out of the next two debates. Have a townhall instead. Let Biden speak directly to voters.
