Jun 1, 2016 I think perfect is too strong a worder to use. The last season was bloated as far as how much stuff they tried to tackle between the news reportering, the streets and the police storylines..definitely could have used another 3 episodes or so to flesh everything out a bit more imo

Jun 6, 2016 I chatted with the actor who played bunk,Wendell Pierce a few times as i work on the show SUITS, and he was really friendly. The wire was a great show. I actually caught it for the first time just last year.. Wanted to see what all the hype was about and watched the first 2 seasons in like a week..
Jun 9, 2016 I didn't come in here to hate on the show but I really think all the cop talk is boring, I liked the end of season 1 and I'm about 3 episodes in on season 2 and I'm struggling to see where the hype is coming from

I mean The Wire is a REALISTIC crime drama...its not over the top like a lot of other network shows...the cop talk is as real as it gets on television...the show was created by a former Homicide Detective & Journalist I would recommend to finish all 5 season before making your decision.... then again The Wire isn't for everyone....when it was out it had TERRIBLE ratings...most people didn't watch it...and then after it was done...it became a CULT classic and widely considered the best tv drama of all time
