    It influenced rappers like travis scott, thug, lil yachty, quavo, to mess with that Dancehall garbage s---. yes, most of those songs were s--- but drake kinda responsible. It's been over a year and that dancehall sound ain't going away. if it disappears in 2018 ill admit im wrong tho

    I assume its through the collective, so not only critical reception yes but public reception as well. Obviously critics have a larger voice individually though.

    You measure public reception by those who have decided to voice their opinions on the album. This is something cyreides couldn't understand- it doesn't matter if someone listened to the album and liked it but never told anyone. It only matter about those who did talk about it- which is why although I like certain albums that are not well received and hate certain albums that are, I don't deny they are publicly looked at as a different view than my own.

    my dad listens to real dancehall, i understand that drake essentialy made a shittier-watered down version of it, but dancehall was primarily popular in other countries. u could find hits that were extremely popular in other countries, but not in the US. That's not a bad thing, Dancehall was literally created in another f---ing continent lmao
