May 6, 2021 Do you like singles that are the best songs off the album or singles that give a general idea of what the album is gonna sound like but not necessarily the best songs... Recently Conway dropped singles that ended up being the best songs on the album and thinking back Eminem would drop singles that would just give a general idea of the album theme or direction but were good songs nonetheless. I prefer singles that give a general idea but either way if the singles are dope I'm gonna give album a listen...
May 6, 2021 I listen to individual songs instead of albums so the songs placement on albums I don't really care about. But I think a single should get listeners hyped / interested in the album and give a general idea for it. Plus, of course, a song that can has wide appeal
May 6, 2021 Ya that's what a single is suppose to be in my opinon but nowadays we got 12 track albums and ppl either skipping a single or putting out a random song off the album to get ppl hyped regardless of radio play or not
May 6, 2021 Yeah, but for example, Billie's new single is exactly what I don't want for a single, something too serious and slow. Listened once and never came back to it. The single creates hype for the album, so to me, it's still a must.
May 7, 2021 To me Humble from d---. was the perfect single. It's catchy, has insane replay value, showcases the album's sound but at the same isn't the best song from the album so the full project still had a lot of room to surprise me.
