Sep 30, 2024 You like that gif I posted so much you made it your pfp for your new profile? Lol glad I could inspire you. If I’m a Fruit Loop then that makes you one of the knock offs. You a Fruit Round, you a Tootie Fruitie.
Oct 1, 2024 I am almost totally sure that he has that line in Timeless so that the fans that are nerds like us would think about the line in Snowchild about he once thought about it, going to show his journey and how he's flipping up the switch. I get it, but I agree it's coming off as lazy and borderline uninspired I can appreciate the video for its relative simplicity, sure. it's not all that flashy and a music video doesn't need to be in order to be good. as far as the cutting wrist line goes, I did see that a video was posted above with the theory that this is a subliminal diss to Drake but 1. the more that I think about it, the more I feel like subliminal disses are kinda pointless and 2. maybe he's saying it to Drake but based on how the line seems very likely a callback to the line in Snowchild, it just seems too vague to be a line talking to his ops
Oct 1, 2024 It can be both a sub and a callback. Besides, it’s not like just that line is talking to his ops. His whole part in the song is talking to his ops, or at least a guy who he stole a woman from. Maybe he is just talking to a made up ghost person. Maybe he is talking to his past self in certain lines. There could be a lot of interpretations, but the point is I think the least likely interpretation is that he is telling his fans to k--- themselves.
Oct 1, 2024 I dunno man. I just don't see it. from the callback angle, he sang about making his wrists bleed because of the hopelessness he was in. but now that he has all the money in the world, he's flipping the switch and telling the listener to do what he once felt like doing to himself. maybe it was wrong of me to say he's telling his fans, yeah - but he's just singing to the receptive side. Drake, like Abel, also has all the money in the world so if that line was supposed to be talking to his ops, I think it would have to come off as more direct. as it is, it doesn't make sense to me as a subliminal in all honesty.
Oct 1, 2024 I see what you’re saying but idk man. Drake was dissing Abel all over Family Matters. I doubt he would respond with a full diss track or anything, but I also doubt he would let that slide without at least throwing in some subs. Me personally I wouldn’t let it slide. Maybe this song wasn’t aimed at Drake and maybe we will get more direct lines in the Future, who knows. Obviously we don’t want that to distract from the story of this album, but to be honest this album doesn’t seem to have much of a story so far other than massive fan speculation.
Oct 1, 2024 The only artist that dissed Drake and didn't flop right after so far is Future but his project s----d
Oct 1, 2024 That’s because no one else that dissed him has dropped an album yet. And if they do flop then that goes against your whole dickriding point that “Drake is helping them be relevant”. What a stupid and irrelevant post lmao.
Oct 1, 2024 lol Singles wise Rocky (as expected) and the homie Abel also flopping Abel is bout to diss Drake and drop his worst album I had so much faith in him this year, cuz. What happened?
Oct 1, 2024 Drake the rapper was full on dissing Abel in Family Matters and I agree that he wouldn't respond with a full diss himself. But what I am saying is that if he did diss Drake subliminally, it would be clearer. the last time I remember Abel doing a clear subliminal was to Justin Bieber on Some way with Nav. Almost everyone pretty much agrees when he sang "I think your girl fell in love with me..." he meant Selena. and while that's still subliminal, it's easier to deduce who, if anyone, he is directing the diss to. we can agree to disagree on this. even though I don't love the two songs we got, I still have high expectations for the album. it's the final chapter of a trilogy and I'm counting on there being meaning to him saying this is his last hurrah as The Weeknd. WHAT??? may I point out the obvious elephant in the room that's Kendrick? also, I don't remember Pusha T flopping after Story of Adidon. I think the consensus is that he won that rap battle, and he was never a superstar rapper anyway
Oct 1, 2024 Bro brought up YG as if his music actually mattered in that beef lmao all he did was drop that one trash song and that was it WRONG. Cope and seethe I don’t know what happened with you bro. Hope you get it fixed soon.
Oct 1, 2024 that s--- will fall just as fast unless he drops the album to keep it up a bit. It’s just an irrelevant song, man’s not inspired lately. Really hope the album will be good, but I don’t see it right now.
Oct 1, 2024 There’s no winning with you. You endlessly move the goalpost. With the way you do this s---, everything in existence is a flop because it wasn’t number 1 for 5 years.
Oct 1, 2024 well you said Future was the only artist that didn't flop right after dissing Drake so...you're wrong. Kendrick did the opposite of flop. he got the Superbowl.
Oct 1, 2024 Carti’s ad-libs were removed from Drake’s “No Face” song then Carti goes and does a song with The Weeknd that seemingly has lines that could be directed at Drake? It’s starting to seem sus
