To the extent this tends to be exaggerated/overstated—it definitely is lol. There are people out there that genuinely believe presidential candidates are changing entire policy positions because of one big donation. I mean I get it, it’s easy to blame the elite but the evidence just isn’t there.

Steve Bannon used to pay Mercer money to liberal posters to spread apathy against the Democratic party on forums from the 2000's to mid 2010's. WPG does it for free like a f---ing sucker.

res’s idea of horseshoe theory is that right-wing opposition to democrats and left-wing opposition to democrats (or frustration with democrats, or mild criticisms lobbed from the depths of a failing eminem message board) are indistinguishable. his addled mind just can’t comprehend that, for example, “democrat-run cities are failing because they aren’t tough enough on crime” and “democrat-run cities are failing because they’re routing too much money to police forces” are fundamentally different stances.

Hes just in love with the status quo. He would probably vote Mitt Romney over someone like Bernie.

Is this even WPG anymore? WTF are you even talking about?
Well, in 2012 I voted against Mitt Romney in the General election and in 2016 I caucused for Bernie Sanders in the Alaska Democratic Caucus and in 2020 I voted for Bernie Sanders in the Alaska Democratic Primary... so, I guess you are wrong.

I don't take anybody serious if their starting point is "Democrat run cities are failing-" whether they are waving a red flag or pretending to waive a blue flag.

there are absolutely ways in which cities with solidly, even uniformly democratic city halls/city councils/etc are failing. of course it's wrong when republicans use this as an argument for their candidates––every republican city administration would be worse––but, because republicans are worse, we're supposed to say "everything is fine, nothing to see here?"

we need to demand democrats be better, whether that's during their terms or by running competitive candidates against incumbents. i live in a solidly blue city that is failing its most vulnerable residents in countless, sometimes unfathomably cruel ways. when lapd spends hundreds of thousands of dollars to crack the skulls of homeless people searching for a place to sleep, i'm supposed to say "thank god garcetti and o'farrell are democrats"? i want more from my elected officials. you just wanna dunk on people who live in arkansas.

some interesting data about Latino voters in the 2020 election! Big Takeaways:
    1. Latino voters are not a monolith
    2. Trump’s gains among Latino voters were mostly among new/politically disengaged voters
    3. Immigration was not a salient issue for Latino voters in 2020—the economy was
    4. Latino voters tend to be swing voters

Trump is a mix of George Wallace, Nixon and Alex Jones... Joe Biden will be the next LBJ if he isn't the next FDR.

...and still used his influence to get democrats on board with legislation that so fundamentally altered the political landscape that many thought it was suicide. he was famous for his ability to persuade/strongarm/whatever he had to do with congress. biden won and immediately started leaking how he didn’t actually care about the minimum wage.
