May 7, 2021 I’ll maybe cop when it goes on sale…maybe I realllly f----- with 7 and it’s setting. PSVR made it an incredible horror experience. I don’t really care for action-horror as much.

May 8, 2021 I’m at the castle demo area now. Though I like survival more than action, the action set pieces have been dope so far...on hardcore the first time you face a hoard of enemies it felt as hopeless and intense as the first part of RE4, which was the first one I ever played so I was terrible at it and it was difficult for me lol

May 8, 2021 I’m sure there will be more considering the shopkeeper’s blatant reference to the RE4 shopkeep lol. Wouldn’t be surprised if the the plot of this ends up being somehow related to RE4 cuz they love intertwining everything. RE4 and RE7 are fan favorites so it’s no surprise they sort of combined the two for RE8 to try to keep that goodwill they built back up after RE6 flopped. I just got thru a little past where the end of the castle demo left off and so far hardcore mode definitely feels more like survival horror where you have to decide whether fight or flight is best for the situation and you gotta make tough choices in terms of crafting and buying. I have 50% health and 0 shotgun shells left but only enough materials to craft one or the other so I have to just wing it and see what I need first.
May 8, 2021 I barely made it through RE7 because that s--- scared me to death, so I'm definitely gonna do standard difficulty on this one and do the more action oriented approach lmao. What I'm hyped for are the exploration and optional bossfights all around the village. And yeah I'd really like to see a tie in to RE4 because right now it's just Chris Lamefield and this new reformed Blue Umbrella corp that's somewhat related to earlier entries
May 11, 2021 I've only played the remakes of 2 & 3, RE5, and Revelations. Never played a first person RE game.
