Such an iconic performance, one of the best I've ever seen. His stage presence, energy and overall vibe was unfuckwitable. Icon.

Re-downloading the full discog and listening to some stuff for the first time in years. 'Lord Give Me a Sign' is a later career gem. As an atheist, I could listen to DMX on his religious s--- all day.

Same here I've always felt kind of awkward and s--- listening to religious songs/artist as an atheist but I'll f--- with the convo lord give me a sign one more road to cross all his religious s--- all day. It's the delivery the deep lyrics the voice all that. The only style of x I'm not a fan of is the same style I'm not a fan of when it comes to most rappers and that's the music for the females or their love song type tracks, although I will say what these b------s want is sick.

    Apparently they had beef...

During a 2012 interview with The Breakfast Club, DMX loudly stated his opinion on Drake, saying at the time, “I don’t like anything about Drake. I don’t like his f---ing voice. I don’t like the s--- he talks about. I don’t like his face. I don’t like the way he walks, nothing. I don’t like his haircut.”

But four years later, the Ruff Ryders legend changed his tune after Drake used his song “How’s It Goin’ Down” for the 2016 Views cut “U With Me?,” which also featured DMX’s name and lyrics from “What These b------s Want” from his 1999 album And Then There Was X. The ensuing phone call that took place didn’t hurt either.

"Streams for DMX’s catalog have increased over 900 percent in the days following his passing, Billboard reported on Monday.

On April 9, DMX’s family revealed they would be taking the Dark Man X off life support following his hospitalization. According to MRC Data, DMX’s tracks collectively gained 75.7 million on-demand streams (audio and video combined) on April 9 and April 10 following this news. That was a 928 percent increase when compared to the 7.36 million they earned on April 7 and 8."

Question for everyone. Has anyone been sad, and cried over a famous person that died? Asking because I always knew that DMX was gonna be one of them that I’d cry for, but I didn’t know it would be this bad. I cried yesterday playing drag-on niggaz die for me, and I cried a little while ago watching this video you posted. When it got to It’s On and was rapping the lyrics I started crying. I thinks it’s gonna be a while before I’m able to play a DMX song.

I was really sad when Proof passed. But that was different as I'd had a couple of personal situations with him. And again when Nate Dogg passed. Since then, I don't think I've felt anything as bad as that until now.

What makes X's death so hard is that we've all been witness to his struggles as they have been well documented throughout the years. We've felt his pain and we've seen his addiction and how it consumed him. Over the last couple of years though he seemed like he FINALLY got it under control. He really looked like he had turned a corner. For him to go out this way is more emotional than if he would have been, I dunno, hit by a bus or something like that. His demons got him eventually.

D12WORLD the album is named after the message board... not the other way around.... Proof would post in threads and make threads about dumb bs like a regular poster... he would make shout out videos and you would have to redownload REALplayer or Quicktime to see if he mentioned you... then pretend it wasn't a big deal if he did.

yeah that makes sense, and I was sad about Nate Dogg dying too, and also remember he died on my moms birthday. With that being this DMX death is completely different for me. I think this hurts because of everything you said because I would get so happy when it looked like DMX was healthy, and beating his demons. Ex when I saw him with that belly in verzuz I couldn’t stop smiling. I think this also hurts because DMX was my first favorite rapper as a kid, and I have so many memories of just listening to his music etc. Like me finding out that Walmart doesn’t sale explicit albums. I was at Walmart in like 07, and I saw like DMX greatest hits type of album. I read the tracklist, and was like oh s--- this got some fire, so I brought it, went home to play it on my CD player, and the first song comes on, and it was edited like crazy. I looked at that CD, and saw no explicit stamp, and was like dumbass. Found it lol seeing that cover just made me laugh

Held him up when he crowd surfed and hung out in a derelict air hanger that had been turned into a club for the after party of the Anger Management Europe Tour.

Proof was a lot taller in person and Bizarre was a lot fatter!

Crazy how one man has touched the lives of so many people isn't it? I hope he knew how much he meant to people.
