I don’t get why people support police. They are not your friends, they don’t give a s--- about you. They are government thugs who operate above the law.

They will k--- family members in front of you. s---t your dog. Beat the s--- out of you. Lie on police reports. They will kidnap you and lock you in a cage.

@JMG The point is that cops are not judge, jury, and executioner. Just because someone with an ego wants to play cowboy cop doesn’t mean that he gets to k--- a man. If you or me killed a man we’d face the consequences. Thugs with a badge do it and they get paid leave and called a hero.

Well yeah most of this is true. The system is is full of corrupt pieces of s--- who hide behind badges ect. But what about the police that are risking their life right now to save others? I would like to think majority are good and dont deserve to be treated they way they do because of the bad ones. Screaming all Police are scum but offering no solutions on how to fix the problems just does not make sense to me. Do we just get rid of police and hope no one commits crime?

Cops don’t deter or stop crime. They respond to it. They spend the majority of their time pulling people over for going 5 over or unpaid traffic tickets. There are cops who don’t abuse their power, but finding one of those is on par with lottery odds.

Also, no one is advocating for police to just go away and create a lawless anarchy. When people say “defund the police” they mean stop giving police departments billions of dollars to buy military vehicles and military-grade weapons and armor. If you think small town police departments need that s--- then you a part of the problem.

I don’t have the exact numbers (maybe our human data machine @Enigma can help) but the odds of a cop being convicted for misconduct/murder are next to nothing. When they are convicted it is because the system failed, not worked. Qualified immunity needs to be abolished. You shouldn’t get different legal treatment because you are a government thug.

Of course small communities don't need Military grade weapons. An actual Police officer does not decide what supplies their department gets.. so that's again a system problem. I think the big time Police departments are the ones with the most issues though. And theyre the ones being defunded, and were already low on funds. Which is why their police are poorly trained. I bet if Police got more money then maybe they would be a little less careless too. But I guess we shouldn't pay them at all an eventually just find volunteers and give them a gun. If they don't work we can force some inmates to serve and protect?

Obviously a large number of Police should not be on the streets with a gun. Lets try to look at the big picture and prevent them from being there in the first place. Screaming f--- all police because the system f----- over inner cities is just leading to more innocent people dying. Police getting different legal treatment is again a system problem.

I'm confused though. You just went on a rant how the Police are worthless.. but you don't want them to go away? Majority of Police giving tickets is just doing what they are trained to do. Your problem is with the system and rightfully so. Finding a good cop is like winning the lottery? That's so untrue.. Maybe in an unfunded community but not as a whole. I am all for doing whatever it takes to rid of the bad apples though. Shaming every single one of them is obviously not working though. I think its time to try something else because how long has Fight the Power failed?

Police are not poorly trained because of funding. They are poorly trained because they require less hours of training than a barber. Plus, the psych evaluation they use is useless. Big cities get more funding than they need more often than not. You think that more funding would make them focus on things like training, but it will just go towards more useless equipment. And no, big city police don’t need to be militarized either. Police don’t need to be militarized at all, in any instance.

Again, having more money wouldn’t make them less careless and dangerous. That’s not a money problem, it’s a personnel issue. And no one is saying that we shouldn’t pay them or use a volunteer system. Nice try though.

Screaming f--- all police does not lead to more innocent people dying. And I’m not saying f--- all police, again, stop putting words in my mouth. By the way, cops already have killing innocent people covered.

I don’t know why you are confused. I never said the police are worthless. Their way of doing things and conducting themselves is f-----. I don’t want law enforcement to vanish, because again, that would create anarchy. What I’m saying is they need a complete overhaul of how they do things. Being trained to write tickets is not an excuse. The point is police spend more time on petty s--- because it makes government more money than solving a murder or r---.

You say that calling out bad apples is the way to go. But that doesn’t happen. Police who have disciplinary action taken against them multiple times are still allowed to be a cop more often than not. And “good cops” who don’t call out or taking action against bad cops are in turn bad cops. Because “good cops” would actually make an effort to remove them instead of staying silent for a “brother in blue”. So yeah, I’m shaming every cop who doesn’t take action against bad cops.

Fight the power works a lot better than being silent and taking it in the a---. You keep saying “fix the system” but are providing no specifics.

I love how Europeans always talk about how “Americans shouldn’t speak on other countries” but y’all always got something to say about us. Our police are waaaay different than your police. You don’t live here and you don’t know the full scope of what goes on.
