Dec 1, 2024 at 10:44 PM I been a MCU stan since day 1, even had opening tickets to Ironman. And I can tell you the Avengers movies have always been better than Ironman’s. Ironman trilogy is super overrated. I remember Ironman 2 in theaters and it was trashed online and by critics. People thought marvel was a fluke because of Ironman 1 being a hit, but Thor and cap weren’t actually received well. They made money but Ironman 2 and 3 had backlash by fan community’s. It was Avengers that was a breakout Phenomenon that brought people back to the hype that the first Ironman had. But most of phase 1 wasn’t really acclaimed at all, even tho they made money. And even on re-watch. Ironman 3 and 2 still are overrated by fans that join during the lead up to infinity war. Everyone has thier own opinions of course. But I stick to Ironman 1 remaining the best of the trilogy. Every Avenger movie is good, even Age of Ultron that gain more loved over the years. Russo’s and Whedon just knew how to combine thier styles better. The Buffy inspired humor & Big Bad every phase Concept that made the MCU formula, the James Gunn world building, and the russo’s style and ensemble direction. It’s all important to make the MCU what it is. So even the failures and underperformance that people tend to forget like Thor the Dark World… alll play a part in making this universe work. But yeah to answer you question… I don’t even think the first Ironman is as good as the first Avengers.
