Great read from Jayson Buford, who's opinion I think quite highly of, and a great interview. But I was very interested to see him saying this in the intro:

"Enter last month’s Mach-Hommy album, Pray for Haiti. Simply put, it is the best rap album to drop since Young Thug’s Barter 6."

Not sure I agree with dude on this one.... Surely there's gotta be more classics that fall into that same category/tier that have dropped in the interim?

A few possible contender just off the top of my head:

    Die Lit / WLR
    Culture
    Still Brazy
    Igor / Flower Boy
    The Sun's Tirade
    DS2
    Kids See Ghosts
    Daytona
    Meet the Woo
    Tana Talk 3
    ZUU
    d--- / TPAB
    Rodeo
    Alfredo

Do none of these (or any others) qualify as same level hip hop classics? Or was he just being hyperbolic? Thoughts?

agreed with all of these! There's no way at least a handful of these don't fall into the same all-time category imo.

I think pray for Haiti is an amazing project, buts its being over hyped by certain people imo. Still a future classic.

    From king to a god
    Supreme Blientel
    WWCD
    Plugs i met
    Run the jewels 4 peat
    FM!
    Astroworld
    The Never Story
    DWTW
Bucketlist Project / Care for Me
    Saturation
    GO:OD AM
    Album about Nothing
The Price of Tea in China
    A Written Testimony
    Victory Lap

Some I can think of that I don't think have been mentioned.

When we are all miserable old men we will be calling most of these classics and it will be our turn to s--- on the younger generations.
