Feb 3, 2021 chillpill, Rico Nasty & Soleima - LiLBiTcH Another Rico x Hyperpop mashup that I can't keep for myself. Featuring danish singer Soleima and produced by chillpill, a mysterious, cartoony character that has already written for Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Panic! At The Disco, Future, Major Lazer and more. Peep Soulja Boys 'Youuuu' sample. That video goes hard too, even more so because you can actually play this game lol.
Feb 4, 2021 Tbh Soul Serum, who produced the video, is pretty much a poor mans Lyrical Lemonade. They mostly make videos for some of generic emo rap/sing artists, which do indefinitely better view wise, for some reason lol. Weird that the actual interesting ones don't seem to click with the audience. But Ducey Gold is pretty dope and I also covered him in my 'unknown artists' thread.
Feb 7, 2021 Crystal Castles & Robert Smith - Not In Love Alice Glass- Without Love Ahhh Crytstal Castles. What a band. Electropunk at it's finest. Based in Canada and originally founded by Ethan Kath and Alice Glass until their departure, which sadly had sexual abuse underlying. Alice Glass is now a solo artist who released her self titled EP in 2017 and a new single at the beginning of the year. I really recommend checking her out because her voice is so f---ing beautiful and uniqe. I still can't get away from the amazing works of Crystal Castles, despite all the s--- that was going on behind the scenes. I'd consider their first project Crystal Castles as an absolute classic of electronic music and their follow up projects are amazing as well. Not In Love is featured on their second album Crystal Castles 2 or just (II) and is probably the most "beginner-friendly" song. If you like it you should definitely dig deeper into their discography and more importantly Alice Glass discography! I might even start a new thread where I present some more obscure artists like her
Feb 8, 2021 OG Bobby Billions - Everyday Spotify sure did it's thing when they put OG Bobby Billions in my Weekly. Everyday and Outside are some amazing songs, both of them are standouts on his album Holy Goat, some type of Gospel Street rap mashup. Definitely worth checking out.
Feb 9, 2021 K$upreme - It's Whatever (feat. Future) All praise to the most ... fly. Future did a lot of great features in 2020 but this went under my radar. s---'s a vibe.
Feb 9, 2021 Outside and Everyday are definitely banging the most. The rest of the album is way more gospely but not bad
Feb 10, 2021 Lancey Foux - Steelo Flow East Londons Lancey Foux is one of the most promising underground artists right now. Not only is he a rapper but also a creative mind when it comes to fashion. I might do a more comprehensive write-up in my other thread, but for now let you be told: He will make waves in the near future
Feb 11, 2021 I've been on a UK rap run this week but d---, this is completely different. Almost got a Fauni/Uno kinda sound. I'm intrigued.
Feb 11, 2021 Didn't even know he was british when I first listenend to him. I think he's a Carti/Ken Car$on associate and also was the support act for Skepta so I definitely see where he evolved his style from lmao
Feb 12, 2021 Empress Of - Woman Is a Word I consider this song an absolute classic of modern pop music. Sadly Empress Of hasn't gained the attention yet I wish she had but not only is this song a beautiful feministic anthem, the instrumental is absolutely phenomenal. Please check her out.
